  1. I find that when I start to write a haiku, a small stone, or a similar piece of momentary wordcraft, I never know how it will really turn out. Will there be that wonderful moment of surprise? This one of yours is, superficially, only a piece of description, but the fact of the lizard’s proximity to grass is what stuns…
