No angel-wings for me.
Instead, a barred owl’s.
I long to be able to move
through day and night
in silence.

  1. Ah, yes, that barred owl, moving with such precision and grace, silently, even through a maze of branches, no stumbling, no collision, just perfect flight. Well we might want this, with our feet of clay, not some heavenly translation, but perfect grace and freedom here, in the flesh. So beautiful, Laura, and so true.
