Unmusically

You ask me
to write about
you – a sonnet
or two;

I ask you
to encore me
alive – a bard
anew;

You say: I
soul you, seal
us – a lyrical
duel.

I offer you
a note, syncing
apiece – melody
mute.

You take me
tuned, to key
a story – frayed
loops.
