cedar pollen tears stream down
miserable faces

grinds through the shredder

moonlight haze…
we watch cars whisper
through the night

the road back to work
tree shadows and highway signs
daggers on asphalt

powerline pigeons
one-line staff, repeating notes
a grey monotone

empty bird feeder
a slow swaying pendulum
sparrows in the trees

a great egret glows
like a plastic grocery bag…
naked windblown tree

new year’s eve
the baby monitor flickers blue
with each explosion

wind whispers through grass
sleepless night, the wind and me
you can see through us

hunter’s moon…
the dogs snuffle the grass
geckos climb the house
